Miss Lisa, a native of Farmington, has been teaching dance in the Farmington area for over 20 years. She has trained extensively under Al Gilbert and uses his Tap Syllabus. She has also taken Master Classes with many Legendary Dancers: Henri LeTang, Savion Glover, Cholly Atkins, Pat Rico, Dianne Walker, Debbie Dee, Darryl and Thommie Retter, Janice Barringer. She owes her original teacher, Betty Johnston, much credit for getting her started in teaching dance.
 
Sue Clayton
Miss Sue has had extensive professional experience all over the world: NCL Cruise Lines, where she was the Company Manager/Dance Captain, Las Vegas with Siegfried and Roy, Chicago in Dance & Company, Italy, and Japan. She was formerly with Harbinger Dance Company. She is a faculty member at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and teaches at several studios in the Detroit area. She guests instructs for American College Dance Festival and has trained under Jazz Great “Gus Giordano”. She dances currently with the Detroit Dance Collective, where she is ballet mistress, and with MoreDances where she is rehearsal assistant and company modern teacher.
 
Judy Stahl
Miss Judy studied dance at Long Island Institute of Music and has continued taking classes at various schools throughout her teaching career. She also studied piano and violin, earning a partial music scholarship for college. She started her teaching career in Grade School, showing her friends current dance craves, and also teaching Piano. She has been teaching dance at various dance schools in the Detroit area for more years than she cares to admit to. She also volunteers as a Dance Teacher to under-priveleged children. She feels that dance gives all children increased feelings of self-worth, self-expression, and self-confidence.
 
Jeannie Theisen
Miss Jeannie started tap, jazz, ballet, and swing dancing at the age of 6. She is a native of Farmington and studied at the Betty Johnston Dance Studio in Farmington throughout her childhood and teens. She has been teaching dance for close to fifteen years, several years at Birmingham Dance Academy and eight years at Dancing Feats. She has studied under Al Gilbert’s tap syllabus and periodically attends Master Classes with Darryl Retter, Reagan Marie, and Janice Barringer. She has performed in Hawaii and Las Vegas. Miss Jeannie is the “Daddy/Daughter” specialist at Dancing Feats and has a great time every year working with the Dads, helping to create a special memory for all the dancing daughters.
 
Esther Weddell
B.A. & Michigan Secondary Teacher Certification in Mathematics and Sociology
Completed one year of Education Through Music, a course designed for Elementary Music and Physical Education Teachers.
Miss Esther studied Scottish, International, and Irish Step dance as a child. Several years ago, she restarted her dance career by studying both tap and ballet at Dancing Feats. She is also an avid student of Bikram yoga. Her best training came from her many years as a “dance mom” guiding her two daughters through many years of tap and ballet classes. She is the “Creative Movement” specialist at Dancing Feats and also enjoys teaching beginning tap and ballet.
 
Carolyn Pikula
B.S. Oakland University, Human Resource & Development, Minor in Childhood Development.
Miss Carolyn has over ten years of dance training, with emphasis on Ballet. She has studied locally under Tamara and at Geiger Dance School. She has been teaching beginning tap and ballet at Dancing Feats for seven years. She has remarkable patience with our little dancers and is always in high demand. She is also a “dance mom,” who has experienced a wide variety of events in the local dance world.
 
Loni Watkins
B.A. University of Michigan, minor in Spanish Studies
Miss Loni has trained under Miss Lisa in tap and jazz since she was 9 years old. She became an assistant teacher when she was 12. She furthered her dance studies in ballet, pointe, and hiphop at Dancing Feats. She has taught off and on at Dancing Feats since 1998. She spent four years on the Novi High Pom Squad and one year on the Cheer Squad, making the Mid-American Allstar Team for one year. She was an assistant pom coach at Novi High for two years, and coached the Farmington High JV summer camp and Varsity Squad for one year. She has taken Master Classes with Al Gilbert, Darryl Retter, Janice Barringer, and Heidi Anderson.
 
Marion Gordon
Miss Marion began her dance training in New York studying the syllabus of The Royal Academy of Dancing under the guidance of Daurice Snyder. She has also studied with William Reilly, Evelyn Kreason, Eric Johnston and Christina Kammueller. She has performed with local companies and has done various roles in Nutcracker, including the Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy. She has performed pas de deux from Swan Lake and Raymonda and has enjoyed recreating the role of Fanny Ceritto in Pas de Quatre. She looks forward to rejoining the staff of Dancing Feats this Fall after a short hiatus.
 
 
Miss Adrianne
Miss Adrianne is currently a student at Henry Ford Community College (HFCC), studying nursing and, of course, dance. She has studied hip hop for 10 years, and tap for 6 years. She has won Solo Gold Medals at Starpower Dance Competion for the past five years. She is a member of HFCC's Full Circle Dance Company, studying jazz, modern, ballet, and lyrical. She has performed in the 2006 MS Plus Michigan Beauty Pagent and the 2005 Superbowl halftime show with the Rolling Stones. She has a passion for dance and LOVES what she does. Previously, she has taught at the Southfield Civic Center under the tutelage of Shirley St Mary, who she considers her mentor. This is Miss Adriannes first year at Dancing Feats. She is having a great time and looking forward to many more years on the staff.
 
Miss Christine
